Here are 25 random lessons, habits & revelations from 2025 (in no particular order):
1. Therapy works. Who would have thought. Go to therapy. Speak to your GP, you can get free therapy through the NHS.
2. Cut down your time on social media. 30 minutes a day is more than enough.
3. No sad music before lunch.
Sorry Phoebe, sorry Lizzy.
4. Up your step count. 10k is great but I think 8k is already plenty.
5. If you have a uterus, learn to live in harmony with your natural cycle. Day 5 - day 19, is for socialising.
The rest is for recovering and quiet work.
6. Don’t wait for the season to match your expectations. Just live by the weather. It’s sunny? Great its spring now. It’s raining? I guess it’s October. (this is great for people who struggle with putting everything in boxes)
7. Read books that challenge you. It’s not about how many books you read. Just make sure they actually work out your brain.
8. Don’t shop at chains! Boycott (cos fuck the billionaires and free Palestine and all that) but you will also save much money!
9. Block all celebs & influencers. Even the ones you like. You have nothing in common with these people.
10. Time moves slower when you learn new things.
It also does great things for your brain. So learn something new.
11. Set a new standard for your friends and the people in your life. It’s ok to just be acquaintances. It’s ok to say no. If they just drag you down, don’t hang out with them.
12. Stop over consuming art and music. It messes with your brain as much as over consuming trash TV.
Focus on making art on music.
13. Curate your feed. Block hashtags, mute people, unfollow. Be brutal. No brain rot allowed.
14. Embracing your features is an act of rebellion.
I’m so tired of hating my body so I just stopped.
15. Explore your dreams and what they might look like without the lens of capitalism.
16. Create community. Support your local community. Chat to strangers.
17. Get politically more active. Posting online is nice,
but go and join a party. Go to meetings! Vote at local elections! It’s great fun too.
18. Embrace resistance to build stamina.
19. Buy less, make more. Bake, build, paint, sew, fix etc. It will make you feel more real.
20. The vegan plus bacon mindset is where it’s at!
Trying is more important than perfection.
21. Just allow yourself to use the help available to you. Get those earplugs for when the train is too loud,
get those tinted glasses to help your migraines, ask the hair dresser to please not blow dry your hair cos it’s overstimulating, ask your GP for pain management options. You are allowed to need help.
22. Hesitation ruins everything.
23. Small handmade gifts are 1000x nicer, than any bought gift. Also always carry a birthday card around with you.
24. Get off Pinterest. Draw inspiration from your own life. It makes all the difference.
25. You could change your life in one year, if you would just let yourself be and let people see you.

Unreleased song: Cherry Picker
V1
I was dragged to church on Sunday mornings
Didn’t listen much I liked the songs
The sermons taught us all to love thy neighbour
Never did it mention dropping bombs
Pre
Prays for peace but votes for violence
Forgotten are those words of kindness
Chorus
Cherry picker how you twist to reach
Cherry picking from a book you didn’t read
Sacrilegious you have blood on your hands
Cherry pickers are slaughtering the lambs
V2
The laws you write protect your power only
Never do they shield the poor or meek
Or anyone who doesn’t look just like you
If you saw Jesus you would chase him off your street
Pre
Prays for peace but votes for violence
Forgotten are those words of kindness
Send your soldiers, cite yout the Bible
Men in suits will deem it righteous
